Personal Information. Goodhue, Coleman & Owens, P.C. provides this notice to explain its practices regarding collection and use of personal information through the Website. We collect personal information directly from you when you provide it to us such as by completing information through an online form including name and contact information. Form submissions are delivered to us by a third-party email delivery provider (currently Resend, Inc.) acting on our behalf as a service provider. We collect this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service. We keep this personal information only as long as necessary to provide you with a better service. We do not sell or rent identifiable personal information. We may disclose personal information to service providers and platform providers as described in this Privacy Policy and the AI & Interactive Tools Terms, at your direction or with your consent, or as required or permitted by law. We may offer you access to certain information by email, and may distribute your email address and name to external service providers who assist us with your consent. We may share non-personal, anonymous, summary or aggregate user data with certain affiliates and other third parties.
If you have given us your consent or if otherwise legally permitted, we may send marketing and information e-mails from time to time, which may include a newsletter. Our marketing e-mails relate to our services offerings, news, events, and announcements. Our emails may contain "beacons" which are small images that inform us about recipient's receptiveness to our emails. Our third-party email service providers may also provide us with anonymized and aggregated demographic information about the recipients of our email. Online Appointment Scheduling. We offer online appointment scheduling through Microsoft Bookings, a service provided by Microsoft Corporation. If you book an appointment, the information you provide (such as your name, email address, phone number, and appointment details) is collected and processed by Microsoft on our behalf and is subject to Microsoft's own privacy practices in addition to this Privacy Policy. We use that information to schedule, confirm, conduct, and communicate with you about your appointment. Scheduling an appointment does not create an attorney-client relationship, and you should not include confidential details about your legal matter when booking. The rights described in this Privacy Policy apply equally to personal information collected through appointment scheduling.

Security. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure and protecting your personal information against unauthorized disclosure, however, we cannot guarantee that your personal information will never be disclosed in a manner inconsistent with this policy. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Cookies. A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. This data may include your internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and settings, the date and time of your requests and how you used our Website. Our Website uses Cookiebot, a consent management service provided by Usercentrics A/S, to obtain and record your cookie preferences; Cookiebot sets a cookie to remember your consent choices. We do not currently use Google Analytics. The AudioEye accessibility service sends technical and diagnostic requests as described below; the absence of Google Analytics does not mean the Website makes no requests to third-party services. Cookiebot records your cookie choices, but those choices do not necessarily stop all third-party network requests, including requests made by the currently enabled AudioEye service. Your browser may independently block these requests, which may affect the availability of third-party features.
Third-Party Services on Our Website. To operate the Website we rely on a small number of third-party services that may process limited technical information (such as your IP address and browser details) when a page loads. Our website typefaces (Fraunces and Inter) are hosted locally and served by this Website, rather than fetched from an external font provider. Third-party services, including the AudioEye accessibility tool and embedded content, may load their own fonts and other resources from external providers. We use AudioEye, an accessibility service provided by AudioEye, Inc., which loads scripts on our pages to improve accessibility of the Website. In the current configuration, AudioEye loads automatically and sends technical and diagnostic requests to analytics.audioeye.com, including when a visitor has not made a cookie choice. These requests involve communication with AudioEye servers, which necessarily receive network information such as the visitor’s IP address. AudioEye also loads resources from other providers, including Google-hosted fonts. AudioEye states in its privacy policy that its service on client websites is cookie-free, does not track visitors across websites, and does not retain IP addresses for tracking purposes. Browser privacy tools may nevertheless classify or block AudioEye requests as tracking attempts. We do not represent that our Website makes no third-party requests or that its accessibility provider is never flagged by privacy tools. Some pages embed interactive tools hosted on other domains — including patent data dashboards served from patentdata.goodhue.com and interactive AI tools hosted on third-party cloud platforms — which are loaded in frames from those services when you visit the relevant page. Text you enter into an embedded tool is processed by its hosting and AI providers as described in the AI & Interactive Tools Terms. Our Case Briefs pages offer YouTube videos in privacy-enhanced mode. Embedded players load only after you allow marketing cookies through Cookiebot. Google may use cookies, local storage and IndexedDB when a player loads or is played. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change or withdraw consent. Withdrawing marketing consent removes active players and prevents further loading on the page, but does not necessarily erase storage previously created by YouTube. Alternatively, follow the link to watch on YouTube, where Google’s privacy practices apply. These providers act as service providers to us and their processing is subject to their own privacy practices in addition to this Privacy Policy.
Embedded tools and separate sites. PatentSummarizer (patent-summarizer.replit.app), PatentFactChecker (patent-fact-checker.replit.app), Protectivity’s product-name assistant (protectivity.replit.app), and the patent dashboards (patentdata.goodhue.com) load from separate origins. These frames can load before you make a cookie choice on this Website. They request application resources and may load Google-hosted fonts; the patent dashboards also request OpenStreetMap map tiles to display geographic information. Those providers receive network information, including your IP address, when their resources are requested. Hosting infrastructure may set technical cookies, including a cookie named GAESA observed during our browser checks. A cookie name alone does not establish its exact purpose or retention. Your Cookiebot choice on the main Website does not automatically control storage or requests inside these separate applications or when you visit them directly. Likewise, the education site at protectivity.goodhue.com is a separate site; do not assume the main Website’s cookie settings apply there. Browser settings can restrict third-party cookies, but restrictions do not necessarily prevent requests and may affect tool functionality.
Accessibility storage. In addition to its network requests, AudioEye has been observed creating local browser storage entries named audioeye_at_start_message and audioeye_reader_settings before a cookie choice. Local storage is distinct from cookies; the provider’s statement that its service is cookie-free should not be read as a statement that it uses no browser storage.
General contact form protection. The general contact form uses self-hosted ALTCHA. Its scripts are hosted locally and verification makes no calls to external providers. ALTCHA uses no cookies or fingerprinting; it uses only short-lived challenge identifiers that contain no personal information.
Links to Other Sites. This website contains links to other sites. When you enter these other sites using links from this website, you are entering sites for which we have no responsibility. We do not control these other sites and cannot guarantee their practices regarding data privacy and security. We recommend that you read the privacy policies of those sites, which may differ from the policy of this web site.
Children. The Website is not directed to children under 14. If you learn that your child has provided us with Personal Information without your consent, please contact us immediately and we will delete such information within a reasonable time.
